When discussing search engine optimization, or SEO, there’s one term you need to know: target keywords. Keywords are the words people enter into a search box, such as at Google, Yahoo, or Bing. Target keywords are the searches that you’re hoping to be found under.

I have often heard this question from clients. The answer is that your site probably is in Google and I’ll give you a simple test to make sure. But let’s make sure we’re asking the right question.

Yes it’s important to have your own unique domain name if you have a blog or website! Don’t use any service that doesn’t let you set up and use your own domain name. You’ll be hard pressed to get serious traffic from search engines without your own domain name.
